Speech Recognition System
A friend of mine is operating a 24 hour fast food chain and pizza parlor. They are accepting orders thru telephone. A particular crew is assigned to answer all calls from costumers. But during rush hours even the one taking orders on the phone needs to help in the kitchen. The result is many orders are not taken properly.
I heard from my sister that the pizza parlor where she used to order pizza has a speech recognition system wherein calls from phone are diverted to a computer. I told this idea to my friend right away and she immediately searched for a voice recognition software.
With the help of this voice self-service, a lot of costumers can be serviced over the telephone which surely means a lot of income for the store.
